This French Provincial home focuses on symmetry and balance. The house features a symmetrical design with evenly spaced windows and a centred front door, creating a sense of balance and elegance.
The use of architectural elements such as columns and the roofline frames the windows and the entrance, drawing attention to these key features and adding depth to the facade.
During the design phase, there was a focus on having well-balanced proportions of the façade, in particular, with the height of the windows and the overall structure creating a harmonious look. The two-story design with tall windows gives an impression of grandeur and openness.
The house primarily uses a limited colour palette of white and black. The white exterior walls provide a clean and bright look, while the dark roof, window frames, and garage door add contrast and sophistication. This minimal colour scheme gives the house a touch of modern and timeless aesthetic.
The architectural style shows elements of neoclassicism with its use of columns, symmetrical design, and clean lines. This gives the house a sense of tradition and elegance, reminiscent of classical architecture. Despite the neoclassical influences, the client’s brief was to incorporate modern elements within the interior, such as large windows with sleek frames and a minimalist colour scheme. This blend of classic and modern creates a unique and contemporary look.
